Dear Reader -
Artist Resource has not been well-managed for a long time, due to health and financial reasons. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by old postings or inaccurate information, and regret being unable to support this resource going forward. We have served millions of artists, craftsmakers, students and teachers over the years. It has been both a pleasure and a responsibility, and I miss it. However, in the last few years, the role of Artist Resource has been taken up by many local sites and organizations, and I urge you to seek them out.
Rather than let out-of-date information stand, the listings pages are being dismantled, such as current classes, events and jobs. However, our members have continued to find some of the static information useful, such as copyright law, or portfolio advice, and those pages will stay as a reference.
I want to thank those volunteers who continued to support this project in my absence, in particular, Anne Ross, Kim Munson, Ari Grossman-Naples, Ziya Akatas and Molly Hilliard. They continued to edit and post thousands of submissions from our readers, support the site structure and technology, and respond to the members.
I want to thank the members who made this project possible in the first place.
