My name is Laura O. Biering. I have a small business called True Voices, Inc.
through which I facilitate Artist's Way classes among others (such as Awakening
to the Divine Feminine, Expressive Dance and more). I have been teaching the
Artist's Way courses for two and a half years now, and I was certified in June
by Mark Bryan himself to teach The Artist's Way at Work. I am very excited about
the new addition to my offerings. I am also a CTI (Coached Training Institute)trained
Whole Life Coach. I am located in Atlanta, but don't let that keep you from
contacting me. Co-active coaching is quite effective over the phone, and I love
traveling to present my classes, workshops and retreats a variety of topics.
And just so you know, I am doing my best to practice what I preach - I have
just given notice at my job of twelve and a half years to pursue this dream
fulltime. In other words, I have leapt and am trusting that the net will appear!
I would love to hear from you, who ever and where ever you are along your path.
What is it that your true voice longs to say? Laura

I was very interested in the idea of having a local group where we could meet face to face. I also live in a small town about 30 miles South of London. I have been doing mp's on and off since '96 and find them an enormouse help to get me back on track when I get that 'headless chicken' syndrome!! however Artists' Dates are something I find very difficult unless I'm extremely disciplined!! sharon young, May 17, 2001
I live on treasure island in the San Francisco Bay area and would be very interested in doing an artist way group. Any takers? Chari, January 21, 2001
My name is Dennis Conway and I've been working the Artist's Way for a couple
of years now and I've gotten concrete results. I'm working on a documentary
movie and I'm working in the Film and Video bizz. I'm also learning to play
guitar and painting and writing more. I am a firm believer in The Artist's Way.
When I read the introduction, I thought she had been living in my head for many
years! I was going to start a group last year, but then it fell apart. Have
you found a group? If you want to talk about it or need encouragement, feel
free to contact me.

Young artist, beginner, living in Berlin, looking for people worldwide working with Camerons Book, Groups etc. I have been doing my pages almost every day now since I by accident found the book in southafrica about two years ago on a journey. Here in Germany a lot of people make a lot of money with groups and stuff and so I never felt any sehnsucht to join in. Sametime I realised that artists are very nonloyal, tending to hide blocks, having no lobby and being unwilling to shape one, even students seemed to be uninterested in nonuniversitarian groups or even sharing experiences and thougths. Astonished to find a book about exactly the things I was concerned with , I found to be almost the only one who knows it here. I got a little stuck, trying to pay my bills, working in jobs that a monkey could likewise do and trying to finish my studies sametime, having almost nobody to talk with about the things I am really interested in. Maybe you like to write to me and maybe you know other people in Berlin working on a nonfinancialprofitbasis with the artistīs way, maybe you live in thailand and want to know what itīs all about or maybe you live in fireland and can tell me more or maybe you just are where you are and let me know or maybe .... (to be continued) greetings with a virtual bottle of fine entre-deux-mers or so, the paintress, Rane Merian., November 21, 1999
Thoughts about The Artist's Way
I am 50 and just starting the Artist's Way. I was an art major in High School and came from a house full of 'crazymakers'. I am sure that I would have been afraid of this book had I gotten my hands on it then. It would have meant challenging most of what I grew up with,(criticism, shaming, etc.) I would not have felt safe. However, I would have known that I was not alone, that I was NOT crazy, and that there was Hope! At 16 I journaled but in cryptic language for fear it would be found and my privacy violated. Katie, if you don't feel safe doing it now, there is probably a good reason. You said you "don't have time." I could be way off base but that sounds like a cop out. I know when I had something I wanted to do (even though I shared a room w/my kid sister) I found a way. Not safe makes more sense. But don't let go of that book, and for the sake of your life and your sanity, don't wait 'til you're 50. best wishes, Kate (K8), November 08, 2000
I am a 16 year old artist and bought the artist's way because i thought it could help me overcome the struggles of being an artist, and with blocked creativity. I did read the book , however did not actualy do it because i was scared. i know that i don't have time to do the morning pages, with school starting at 7:30, and i feared not being able to do the activities. it is hard enough as it is finding time to even do art. do you have any suggestions to alter the format of the book for teens? would it even be harmful for me to do it since the book was meant for older people? . katie, July 09, 2000
I've just started doing the Artist's Way for all of a week now and am finding the morning pages incredibly useful for clearing the head and finding clarity generally, but most importantly getting me to write. It's not that I have writers' block, but I've never really started, so the morning pages are a breakthrough for me. The artists' date is a more difficult exercise - I find that I'm making things dutiful or worthy or educational instead of just having fun! Is this a common occurrence for people. It's also one of the first things that goes when you're busy or distracted - so I guess it's learning the discipline to note that this is really important - a pivotal point of the Artists' Way.
